First Holy Communion is a very special day for family and friends. I have 2 children and we celebrated beautiful family days together. In preparation for this special day we not only had to think of the dress but also what jewellery to wear. My daughter was blessed as the necklace that she wore was handed down through generations. A heart shaped communion medal with a chalice. I had to buy a new chain but my daughter was so proud to wear this special medal that was handed down through generations from her Great Granny. These medals are still very popular today and can be passed through generations to come. Something to think about when purchasing jewellery for a First Holy Communion.
